Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have opened to the prospect of parting with a star member of the club’s midfield setup, it has been revealed.
The player in question? Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The info comes courtesy of the reliable Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic, who has confirmed that Danish international Hojbjerg has been made available for transfer, ‘if the right offer comes in’.
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, for one, are understood to hold an interest in the 27-year-old, albeit with direct negotiations between the Colchoneros and Spurs yet to be kicked into gear.

Hojbjerg, for his part, is fresh off a campaign which saw him act as a near ever-present in the middle of the park in north London.
All told, he featured from the off in all but three of Tottenham’s league outings, under the watch of a trio of different managers.
It now remains to be seen whether an offer for Hojbjerg’s services deemed as sufficient by Daniel Levy and co. is forthcoming over the weeks ahead.
Hojbjerg and Spurs open to a move for the midfielder this summer. No negotiations yet between Spurs and Atletico or any other club, but he’d be allowed to leave if satisfactory offer came in. Turns 28 in Aug and 2 years left on contract https://t.co/NpuB5JrhK6
