Tottenham Hotspur are starting to kick into life in the transfer window.
Spurs look to be closing in on their first summer signing in Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
Now, they are looking at other positions with centre-back and midfield as two priorities.
Tottenham ready to insist for Maddison
Tottenham are still working hard on a deal to sign James Maddison, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs plan to insist in the next few days about getting a deal done despite Newcastle still being in the mix.
The north London club are preparing an approach to Leicester City as they look to finally land the 26-year-old.
Although the Foxes will likely need to reduce their asking price with their current valuation standing at £60 million.
Given he has just one year left on his contract and Leicester now in the Championship, that fee is unrealistic.
Meanwhile, Vicario is due to undergo a medical at Hotspur Way over the weekend to complete his move.
The likes of Brighton, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have all looked at him, however, it is interest from Italy that is the biggest concern.
Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus are all keen on the 26-year-old and Spurs will look to wrap up a deal quickly to avoid any competition.
