Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are ready to ‘step up’ their pursuit of a highly-regarded member of the attacking ranks at Belgian outfit Gent, should star striker Harry Kane ultimately secure a move away from the club.
The name of frontman Kane has of course taken its place front and centre in the media headlines in north London once more across the summer to date.
This comes amid widespread reports that this past season may well represent the 29-year-old’s last with his long-time club.
To this point, German heavyweights Bayern Munich have been widely labelled as the leading contenders for his signature, with Kane himself understood to be keen on the prospect of a move to the Allianz Arena.

And though Bayern, as of yet, have not managed to find a deal with their counterparts at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Daniel Levy and co, it would appear, are already putting into place contingency plans in the case of their talismanic attacker moving on.
As per a report from the reliable Gary Jacob of The Times, Spurs are preparing to move forward with a swoop for Gent star Gift Orban.
This, in turn, would allow for other areas of Ange Postecoglou’s squad to be upgraded, too.
Orban, for his part, only made the move to Gent this past January, but has since dazzled in Belgium, to the tune of 22 goals and two assists across 24 appearances.
