Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are ready to reignite their pursuit of an out-of-favour member of the midfield setup at Barcelona, according to reports.

The Blaugrana star back in Spurs’ sights? Franck Kessie.

Ivorian international Kessie, of course, has long been tipped to take his talents to the Lilywhite half of north London.

This comes with the former AC Milan standout fresh off an altogether underwhelming debut campaign at the Camp Nou.

The powers that be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in turn, first began to express an interest in Kessie’s signature back in January.

After being rebuffed the first time round, though, Daniel Levy and co, it would appear, are now ready to come back to the table.

This price-tag could be considerably reduced, however, in the case of a midfield swap deal coming to fruition.

Barcelona, coincidentally, are also interested in a member of the engine room ranks in north London, with Xavi Hernandez a keen admirer of the talents of Giovani Lo Celso.

The La Liga champions could therefore make use of negotiations surrounding Kessie in a bid to lure Argentine international Lo Celso to the Camp Nou this summer.
