The player in question is Antoine Griezmann, who has spent his entire career in La Liga.
The Frenchman has excelled during two spells with his current club, Atletico Madrid.
In 320 games he has scored 148 goals and provided 66 assists. He is also a great presser and works very hard off the ball.
This would likely make him a good fit for Manchester United under Erik ten Hag as he can score goals but also press well – something Cristiano Ronaldo did not do for the Red Devils.
However, Fabrizio Romano has recently been discussing Griezmann’s links to Manchester United and a move does not seem likely:
“I’m aware of some rumours that Manchester United were interested in Antoine Griezmann in the summer, but honestly Griezmann only wanted to stay at Atletico Madrid so it was not close or concrete,” Romano said.
Outside of Griezmann, Manchester United have been linked with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, though both players would set United back a great sum of money.
