Ipswich have signed Paraguayan attacking midfielder Julio Enciso on loan from Brighton.

The 21-year-old will spend the remainder of the season with the Premier League 18th-placed side, who tried to sign him last summer.

Enciso has made 12 league appearances for Brighton this season after making his return from a long-term injury.

He signed from Paraguayan side Club Libertad in June 2022 and has scored four goals in 24 appearances.

“I am so happy to be here,” Enciso said.

“The conversations with the Manager have been good. I am very grateful to him and the Club for believing in me. I can’t wait to get going.

“I’m a real fighter and I will do my best in every game.”
