According to The Athletic, Aston Villa are looking to sign former Leicester City midfielder and Arsenal target Youri Tielemans in the summer.
Tielemans’ contract with Leicester City expired recently, with the midfielder now available as a free agent and Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is said to be hellbent on signing him.
Despite Tielemans being a free agent at the end of this month, there has been very little in the way of news regarding a summer transfer.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with both West Ham’s Declan Rice and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
But with said duo expected to set Arsenal back around £175m, it is somewhat surprising they have not made more inroads in their attempts to sign Tielemans.
The Belgian has been a key figure at Leicester for several years, scoring a huge goal to win the Foxes an FA Cup final.
