West Ham United are expressing an interest in the signature of yet another member of the first-team setup at Premier League rivals Manchester United, according to reports.

The player in question? Anthony Martial.

The subject of potential arrivals from Old Trafford has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines at the London Stadium across the summer to date.

This comes after word was forthcoming that David Moyes and co. had set their sights on the services of two out-of-favour members of the Red Devils’ ranks.

First up came Scott McTominay, before the Hammers also made known their interest in Harry Maguire.

A deal for the latter, meanwhile, was understood to be inching towards completion, after West Ham this week saw an offer in the region of £30 million accepted for the England international.

As per a report from The Sun’s Alan Nixon:

‘West Ham’s bid for centre-half Harry Maguire is stalling over personal terms.’

The powers that be in east London, in turn, have turned their attentions towards Bayer Leverkusen talent Odilon Kossounou.

As alluded to above, though, negotiations between the respective boards at West Ham and Manchester United could nevertheless soon be kicked back into gear.

This comes with the former now understood to be expressing an interest in yet another member of Erik ten Hag’s squad.

The player in question? Anthony Martial.

That’s according to Alex Crook of talkSPORT, who has revealed that discussions over a potential Irons move for the French international are at an early stage.

It now remains to be seen whether the capital outfit are willing to match the valuation placed on Martial’s head by the Red Devils brass.
