When playing, Casemiro has shown this season that he is still a top-quality defensive midfielder.
The Brazilian has filled a major hole in Manchester United’s midfield that has been apparent for many years.
However, Casemiro has spent a loft of 2022/23 out due to suspension.
Casemiro’s first suspension came at the end of January for picking up five yellow cards in the Premier League.
He missed a 3-2 loss vs Arsenal because of that. Then, in his return to action, he was shown a red card vs Crystal Palace, keeping him out for another three games.
The Brazilian returned in the 7-0 loss to Liverpool and then started the following match vs Southampton where he was once again shown a red card, keeping him out of action for four games.
However, the Brazilian will miss the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla if he gets booked in the first match at Old Trafford on Thursday.
