Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, on Sunday, etched his name ever further into the history books of English football.
Alexander-Arnold, and Liverpool, of course, were back in action earlier today.
Fresh off a morale-boosting comeback downing of Newcastle United last time out, Jurgen Klopp’s troops welcomed Aston Villa to Anfield, eyeing a 3rd win on the spin.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the Reds went on to manage.
A comfortable day’s work for the Merseyside hosts saw goals on the part of all of Dominik Szoboszlai, Matty Cash (OG), and Mohamed Salah give rise to an eventual 3-0 triumph.
Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in a goal in 11 consecutive PL home games:

As alluded to above, though, whilst it was the likes of Szoboszlai and Salah who took the plaudits post-match on Sunday, it was another member of Klopp’s squad who in fact made history.
And, in the process, the England international surpassed the all-time Premier League assist tallies of three English football icons.
TAA, for his part, has now notched a remarkable 55 assists in league play.
This is one more than was managed by ex-Chelsea pair Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, as well as Arsenal hero Mesut Ozil.
And all of this comes despite Liverpool’s creative dynamo, of course, generally taking to the pitch as a right-back.
🏴 Trent Alexander-Arnold now has 55 #PL assists in 202 appearances, that’s more than:
