An update on the wellbeing of Aston Villa star Tyrone Mings has been provided late on Sunday.
For those not aware, Villans defender Mings played no part in the club’s latest outing earlier this evening.
This came as Unai Emery’s troops made the trip to the Etihad, for a daunting showdown with Premier League champions Manchester City.
Villa, when all was said and done, were put to the sword by the Citizens, owing to goals on the part of all of Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez.

Just where, though, was their English international stopper? Well, late on Sunday, an insight into precisely that has been forthcoming.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Etihad, Unai Emery was asked for the latest on Mings’ situation.
In a boost for all associated with Villa, though, the hope is that Mings will be ready to return to the fray in time to face table-topping Arsenal next weekend.
“He had a small injury,” Emery confirmed. “He tried to be ready but he’s not for this match. He’s resting and hopefully he can come back next week.”
