Kylian Mbappe has been selected in Real Madrid’s starting XI for their UEFA Super Cup clash with Atalanta.

The France superstar will make his debut for Los Blancos in their season opener following his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain.

Champions League winners Real are bidding for their sixth Super Cup triumph against the Serie A club, who won the Europa League for the first time last season.

Super Cup starting lineups

Real go strong

Mbappe starts up front in a frighteningly strong XI picked by Carlo Ancelotti for the clash in Warsaw.

The 25-year-old spearheads the attack with Jude Bellingham just behind him and Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior on the wings.

Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni start in midfielder, with Eduardo Camavinga missing out through injury.

Thibaut Courtois starts in goal with Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger and Farland Mendy forming the back four.

Endrick, the 18-year-old sensational who arrived this summer, is named on the bench.

Atalanta’s side features nine of the players from the side who beat defeated Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final though there is no place for Juventus-bound Teun Koopmeiners.

That means final hat-trick hero Ademola Lookman starts on the left, with Gianluca Scamacca missing out through injury with new signing Ben Godfrey named on the bench.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois (gk), Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Mendy, Valverde, Tchouameni, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Mbappe

Atalanta XI: Musso (gk), Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac, Zappacosta, De Roon, Ederson Silva, Ruggeri, Pasalic, De Ketelaere, Lookman.
