Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk enjoyed a night to remember on the international stage on Thursday.
Mudryk, and Ukraine, were back in action a short time ago.
Eyeing a bounce-back result after being condemned to defeat in their Euro 2024 qualifying opener, Serhiy Rebrov’s troops made the trip to Skopje, for a meeting with North Macedonia.
And, despite falling into a two-goal deficit inside the opening 45 minutes, when all was said and done, the evening’s visitors did enough to emerge with all three points.
Mudryk, meanwhile, proved the driving force in the Ukrainian comeback, bagging not one, but two fine assists.
His first saw the big-money Chelsea man showcase his electric pace and dribbling ability, to tee up Yukhym Konoplya’s equaliser midway through the 2nd-half:

On this occasion showing off an altogether different element of his repertoire, the 22-year-old split the North Macedonian backline courtesy of a pinpoint lofted pass, allowing Viktor Tsyhankov to nod home what proved to be the game’s decisive goal:
