Footage of Chelsea star Mason Mount has piqued widespread attentions across the Blues’ fanbase on Sunday night.
This comes on the back of the club’s final outing of the campaign.
Frank Lampard’s troops were of course back in action earlier this evening, welcoming high-flying Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge.
And, when all was said and done, fresh off back-to-back defeats, the capital giants did at least manage to close out their campaign by steadying the ship, courtesy of a 1-1 stalemate.
FT: Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle.
Chelsea should have won. A vastly improved performance in Frank Lampard’s send-off. Fair play but the Blues still can’t finish. #CFC #CHENEW

As alluded to above, though, post-match, attentions quickly shifted away from the eventual result in west London.
Instead, they turned towards Chelsea’s stars, with a particular emphasis on the possibility of several bidding a permanent farewell to the club’s fans.
And it is the latter who, since, has seen his name take its place front and centre across the Chelsea fanbase.
This comes after Mount, a summer target for a whole host of the Blues’ Premier League rivals, appeared to all but confirm his exit, looking emotional in making his way around the pitch for a lap of honour:
An emotional Mason Mount for likely his last lap of honour as a Chelsea player …

Not only that, but the England international also remained behind on the Stamford Bridge pitch after the stands had emptied, continuing to look sentimental:
