Footage of Premier League giants’ Arsenal’s friendly meeting with Nurnberg has come to the fore late on Thursday.
For those not aware, Arsenal were back in action earlier this evening.
After being held to a 1-1 stalemate by Watford in their opening pre-season friendly last week, the Gunners stepped up their preparations for the new campaign once more, courtesy of a meeting with aforementioned German outfit Nurnberg.
Mikel Arteta, for his part, opted for a strong starting XI at the Max-Morlock-Stadion, featuring the talents of the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Thomas Partey, and Bukayo Saka.
And it was Saka who went on to open the scoring in the clash, inside ten minutes.
After being picked out on the right flank, the gifted wide-man cut into the hosts’ penalty area, before finding the far corner courtesy of a trademark left-footed strike:

The game’s decisive equaliser came in altogether bizarre fashion, as, after stretching to reach a dangerous pass into midfield, Jorginho unwittingly directed the ball into the empty net vacated by Gunners shot-stopper Karl Hein:

From here, the changes came thick and fast, as Mikel Arteta afforded some of the up-and-coming talent at his disposal the chance to impress.
And one such starlet who took full advantage of his opportunity to do so came in the form of 16-year-old Ethan Nwaneri.
As showcased below, midfielder Nwaneri, who recently warded off the advances of Chelsea to commit his future to Arsenal, provided a glimpse into his dazzling talents courtesy of the following cameo against Nurnberg:
