Footage of the remarkable scenes on the back of AC Milan’s meeting with Spezia have piqued widespread attentions on Saturday night.
For those not aware, Milan were back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a hugely disappointing two-goal defeat to city rivals Inter in the first-leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs in midweek, Stefano Pioli’s troops turned their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a Serie A showdown with minnows Spezia.
The clash marked a crucial one for Milan, amid the club’s ongoing hunt for a top-4 berth.
In turn, it came as a major blow for all associated with the Rossoneri when, upon the final whistle sounding at the Stadio Alberto Picco, it was hosts Spezia who emerged on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline.

As alluded to above, though, the seriousness of their latest loss was certainly not lost on the Diavolo’s stars.
After being beckoned by the club’s famed Ultra group, the ‘Curva Sud’, Milan’s entire matchday squad, as well as boss Pioli, made their way to the away stand.
From here, the Rossoneri appeared to be subjected to a combination of deserved condemnation, and a rallying cry, ahead of their 2nd-leg meeting with Inter next week.
