West Ham United will be looking to swiftly return to winning ways on the weekend following their defeat to Liverpool.

The Hammers took the lead early on through Lucas Pauqta only for the Reds to turn the game on its head.

Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip netted for Jurgen Klopp’s men to secure the three points.

The east London club had been on a five-game unbeaten run prior to the 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium.

David Moyes’ team had beaten Fulham, Gent and Bournemouth and drawn with Arsenal and Gent in the first-leg.

The defeat on Wednesday leaves them 14th and four points clear of the bottom three, although they have a game in hand.
