The Citizens beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul to become only the second side in English history to complete the domestic treble. The only other team to do so was Manchester United in 1998/1999.

This list does not count the Community Shield as a major trophy and instead looks at Division One/ Premier League titles, FA Cup, League Cup, European Cup/ Champions League, UEFA Cup/ Europa Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup, Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Intercontinental Cup:

Manchester City 26 – Division One/Premier League (9), FA Cup (7), League Cup (8), UEFA Champions League (1), UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1).

Chelsea 28 – Division One/Premier League (6), FA Cup (8), League Cup (5), European Cup/Champions League (2), UEFA Cup/Europa League (2), UEFA Super Cups (2), FIFA Club World Cup (1), UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (2).
