Everton head into the game sitting 17th in the Premier League table, just three points above the relegation zone.
Granted, 18th-placed Watford have played three games more than Frank Lampard’s side, but it is of course still not a position that the Merseysiders want to be in.
Should they win on Sunday, though, the Hammers would move back into 6th, level on points with Manchester United.

However, there were some noticeable absentees, too, in the form of Andre Gomes and Nathan Patterson.
An explanation for the pair’s absence has since in turn been provided by Adam Jones of the Liverpool Echo, who confirms that the duo have ‘picked up knocks’:
Understand both Nathan Patterson and Andre Gomes have picked up knocks, and that’s why they’re unavailable today
No doubt Lampard will say more about that after the game
