Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez has, on Friday, provided an update on the pending arrival of Vitor Roque at the club.
For those not aware, the name of frontman Roque has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after reports spread across the Spanish media, pointing towards the Brazilian prodigy’s move to the Camp Nou being delayed.
Barca secured a deal for Roque’s signature back in July, with the 18-year-old, in turn, having been expected to take his talents to La Liga following the turn of the year.

Late on Thursday, though, it was claimed that his arrival had been pushed back to next summer, owing to issues with the Blaugrana’s wage bill.
Speaking to the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the speculation surrounding Roque’s situation was put to the aforementioned Xavi Hernandez.
“Deco told me that Vitor Roque will arrive in January,” he began. “I don’t see any issue for his transfer.”
Xavi concluded:
“We will see what happens in January.”
