It’s the final day of group-stage action in the women’s football tournament at the Olympic Games and we have identified some very strong tips if you wish to have a bet on the action.

Hosts France are in action, as are world number one-ranked side Spain and defending champions Canada.

Let’s take a look at the tips that we think offer value (all odds correct at 1037 on July 31, via bet365):

Colombia v Canada

Canada are on a mission to qualify despite suffering the disappointment of a six-point deduction due to Spygate – team management were found guilty of using a drone to spy on opponents New Zealand ahead of their opening game in France.

It meant a year-long ban for coach Bev Priestman, but her side have shown plenty of grit and determination to win both their games in Group A. Another triumph over Colombia in Nice would be enough for them to complete the most remarkable of qualifications.

Standing in their way is a Colombia side who are on an upward trajectory, having risen to 22 in the world rankings.

But given the narrative around Canada, we feel they will be hell bent on a win that sees them though.

Tip: Canada to win at 17/20

New Zealand v France

France need just a draw against New Zealand to go through and that should not be a problem for Herve Renard’s side.

New Zealand have yet to pick up a point in the group and could be in for another tough night in Lyon.

France possess plenty of firepower and also boast the tournament’s joint-leading scorer in Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

Tip: France to win, Katoto to score and for over one match goals at 21/20

Japan v Nigeria

Nigeria have performed well despite being placed in a tough group that also contains Spain and Brazil.

Successive 1-0 defeats to the world powerhouses have left the African side on the brink of elimination and they require a win to stand any chance of advancing.

That appears a tall order though against a Japan side sitting 29 places above them in the world rankings.

A draw will be enough for Japan but we fancy them to get the win they need.

Tip: Japan to win at 11/20
