Empoli and Udinese are set to clash in Serie A this Saturday at the Carlo Castellani Stadium as the away side aim to stay inside the top half of the table just as the home outfit look to get closer to the top 10 with a win.
Empoli are on a terrible winless run right now that has seen their attempts to get into the top half of the table take a hit with them not winning a game since the end of January when they beat Inter Milan.
Draws with Torino, Spezia and Fiorentina have all come in since, as the club also registered losses to Roma and Napoli and most recently Monza just last Saturday.
It keeps Empoli in 14th with them above the bottom three by 10 points and adrift of Udinese in 10th by four. A victory here would be one of their most important wins of the season.
Udinese themselves have not won in the same length of time, as they defeated Sampdoria just two days prior to Empoli’s win over Inter. Draws with Hellas Verona, Sassuolo, Spezia and Atalanta has seen them crash from eighth into 10th.
