15th and 13th will clash in Serie A this weekend with Sassuolo set to head on the road to meet with Lecce at the Stadio Ettore Giardiniero with the two clubs looking for one giant leap away from the bottom three.
Ahead of the clash, it’s Lecce who sit further up the table in 13th. The club stunned Atalanta in Bergamo last weekend in what was arguably their best win of the season, as Assan Ceesay and Alexis Blin scored a goal each.
It was just the sixth win of the season for Lecce, however, as they now come into this one with eight losses and nine other draws. At the same time, Marco Baroni’s side have scored just 26 goals from 23 games.
Sassuolo come into this one without a win since also defeating Atalanta. A 2-2 draw with Udinese came soon after, as Napoli eased to a win at the Mapei Stadium last Friday night.
Nevertheless, Alessio Dionisi’s men still sit above the bottom three by seven points and after a fantastic run of form since the World Cup break ended, fears of relegation have eased greatly.
