Live Streaming Services

What is live streaming?

Live streaming games sites allow you to watch live sporting events online via a monthly or weekly subscription, with services often providing a wide range of sporting events from horse racing, boxing, football and more. They allow punters to watch the events they have placed money on, which they would not ordinarily be able to view via the traditional sports broadcasting channels.

How do I live stream?

Live streaming sports in 2024 could not be easier, with loads of sites offering live streaming on every sporting event imaginable. All you have to do is choose a site which is best suited to your viewing needs depending on what sporting events you want access to. There is then a short sign-up process to go through where you’ll have to give basic personal information as well as payment details for the service. There may also be a choice of subscription packages to select from, so make sure you pick the one that includes the live events you want to view. To live stream the events on some services, you may also need a VPN to change the browser location as some events are excluded from certain countries.

Live streaming services 101 Great Goals provide

Bet365

18+. Geo-restrictions apply, Must have a funded account or placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Watch your favorite sports on mobile, tablet & desktop. Only available to eligible customers. Live Streaming rules apply. BeGambleAware. Registration required.

While Bet365 is not a paid subscription site as such, it does offer customers the option to watch a wide range of sporting events through the app or browser if they have wagered money on the sporting event. Anything from horse racing to selected football matches are available on the app for free. Obviously, options are extremely more limited than services like Fubo or ESPN+ and more often than not you will need to have a bet on the event to watch it live.

Betano

18+. Geo-restrictions apply, Must have a funded account or placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Watch your favorite sports on mobile, tablet & desktop. Only available to eligible customers. Live Streaming rules apply. BeGambleAware. Registration required.

Betano is another good option for live streaming and it’s remarkable to be in this list given the fact they just entered the UK betting market. The Betano free bets offer is also worthy as it provides new users with £30 free bets when they place a qualifying bet of just £10.

FUBO TV

18+. Geo-restrictions apply, Must have a funded account or placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Watch your favorite sports on mobile, tablet & desktop. Only available to eligible customers. Live Streaming rules apply. BeGambleAware. Registration required.

FUBO TV has grown considerably from its humble beginnings as a sports streaming platform, with the service now offering a huge amount of entertainment channels as well as keeping its great live sports offering. It is only available in North America (which includes Canada) so if you are outside of that geographical location, you will need a VPN to access it – again more on that below.

You will struggle to think of a football division around the world not included in FUBO’s roster, with all MLS games, Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga (to name but a few) all available to watch. Again, the service offers new customers a 7-day free trial period, which kicks in before you pay a penny.

Should you wish to continue with the service after the trial period, there are three package options to choose from; Family, Elite and Fubo Latino.

The Family option costs $64.99 a month, giving you access to 116 channels cloud DVR and family share up to 3 devices at once. The Elite package costs $79.99 a month. 163 channels, Fubo Extra (47 entertainment channels), cloud DVR and family share up to 5 devices at once. Fubo Latino: Costs $29.99 a month. 32 channels, 100+ sporting events, cloud DVR and family share up to 2 devices at once.

ESPN+

18+. Geo-restrictions apply, Must have a funded account or placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Watch your favorite sports on mobile, tablet & desktop. Only available to eligible customers. Live Streaming rules apply. BeGambleAware. Registration required.

ESPN+ is a versatile streaming service that offers a wide range of sports content, including live events, on-demand series, and exclusive programming. With an affordable subscription starting at $10.99 per month or $109.99 annually, it provides access to various sports such as NHL, MLB, MLS, PGA Tour Golf, rugby, cricket, and esports. The platform also features extensive UFC coverage, though some high-profile events are available only through pay-per-view. The user-friendly interface, similar to popular streaming platforms, and personalized recommendations enhance the viewing experience. ESPN+ is accessible on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.

However, ESPN+ does have some limitations. It does not include live NBA or NFL games unless you sign in with a TV provider, and certain high-profile events require additional fees. Additionally, the service lacks DVR functionality, which might be a drawback for some users. Despite these limitations, ESPN+ offers a diverse array of sports content at a competitive price, making it an excellent choice for sports fans looking to expand their viewing options.

FITE

18+. Geo-restrictions apply, Must have a funded account or placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Watch your favorite sports on mobile, tablet & desktop. Only available to eligible customers. Live Streaming rules apply. BeGambleAware. Registration required.

FITE TV is a streaming service that specializes in combat sports, offering live events, pay-per-view matches, and on-demand content. It covers a wide range of sports including MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, and professional wrestling, streaming over 1,000 live events annually from more than 200 promotions. Subscribers also gain access to a substantial library of past events, adding up to thousands of hours of viewing. FITE TV offers various subscription options, with FITE Plus costing $4.99 per month or $49.99 annually, providing additional perks such as ad-free streaming and exclusive content.

The service is compatible with numerous devices, including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and gaming consoles, although it lacks apps for some newer gaming systems. FITE TV also supports offline downloads and simultaneous streaming on up to three devices. While many events require additional pay-per-view fees, FITE Plus subscribers benefit from exclusive access to certain content and a cleaner, ad-free viewing experience. Despite some criticisms about its app interface and occasional lag, FITE TV remains a popular choice for combat sports enthusiasts due to its extensive and varied content offerings.

CyberGhost

Similarly, CyberGhost offers a money-back guarantee, but over 45 days as opposed to the 30 days offered by Express VPN. Currently, you can subscribe to the service for a huge 82% discount if you opt for the three-year package which works out at just £1.75 per month. The one-year plan will set you back £9.99 a month or the 2-year subscription for £2.75 per month.

Live Streaming Services FAQs

The only restrictions to live streaming sports are geographical restrictions, like with the US/ North American services we have outlined above. If you are outside the geographical location, the way around this is by using VPN services like Express VPN or CyberGhost as previously explained.
Watching live sports through a legitimate and registered streaming service, which you pay a subscription fee, such as any of the ones outlined above is perfectly legal. However, if you watch through an illegal site that does not require a monthly fee or is unlicensed then you will be breaking the law.
There aren’t many disadvantages to signing up for and using a live streaming sports platform, with services often being cheaper than traditional TV options. However, there are some limitations, such as the number of devices you can use at once and the fact it relies on an internet connection, so if you have any problems with the WiFi then it will be a struggle to watch via the service.
