President Donald Trump is set to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans this Sunday.

A White House official confirmed on Tuesday that Trump will be present for the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles with the Lombardi Trophy on the line.

This marks Trump’s first appearance at the Super Bowl since taking office.

In addition to attending the game, Trump will participate in an interview with Fox News. The interview is part of the network’s pre-show coverage and will be recorded in Florida ahead of the game.

It’s usually a formality for sitting presidents to be interviewed by the network broadcasting the Super Bowl, although both Trump and his predecessor, Joe Biden, have varied in their participation over the years.

Now a Florida resident, though originally from New York, Trump has not publicly declared support for either team in the upcoming game. However, following the Chiefs’ victory in the AFC Championship last month, he shared a congratulatory message on his social media platform.

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs,” Trump posted. “What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!”

The Eagles are looking to stop the Chiefs from claiming their third consecutive Super Bowl title.
