Runarsson joined the club in 2019, but failed to impress and spent last season on loan with OH Leuven. He is now set to make the switch to Turkey on another loan move, which will leave him with just one year on his contract come the end of the deal.
He marks the 7th Arsenal departure of the summer- Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno have both departed the club on a permanent basis, while Nuno Tavares and Folarin Balogun have both left for Ligue 1 on loan, joining Marseille and Stade de Reims for the upcoming season respectively.
Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette has also left the club on a free transfer.
Additionally, Pablo Mari has joined Italian side Monza on a loan deal, though there is an obligation to buy the player should they remain in the Italian top flight at the end of the season.

Mikel Areta has already confirmed that he hopes for more movement, telling the media that “We are really active, as you can see with incomings and outgoings,”
“Everything is still open, it’s a long window, a lot has happened, it’s incredible how much business the clubs have done across the Premier League and it shows how competitive it is, and this season is not going to stop that.
“Players are going to have the need to leave, some others to move and everything is open still.”
A right winger, central midfielder, and left-sided centre back have all been mentioned as targets this summer, though how many remain important transfer options with the window rapidly ending remains to be seen.
