“I back Marcus Rashford to explode when he goes back to Manchester United as I thought he would have been a massive player for England because of his quality, and his mentality,” he said.
“Rashford can do so much more in a Manchester United shirt, but he’ll come back with lots of confidence along with everyone else that has been at the World Cup and Erik ten Hag will have a squad full of confidence.
“They [the United players] have all proven to the world that they can perform better, and they have to take that form back to Manchester United and maintain it. Marcus Rashford is one of the biggest weapons they have.”
After several years of struggle, Marcus Rashford has returned to his best this season.
The forward has scored eight and assisted three for Manchester United in 2022/23.
And with Cristiano Ronaldo now gone, Manchester United will be relying even more heavily on Rashford to perform in the second half of 2022/23.
