Morgan, who has regained some fame in recent weeks for his interview and then defence of Cristiano Ronaldo – despite previously bashing the Portuguese star – was clearly not too happy with how the 2022 World Cup played out.
Messi scored seven goals, provided three assists, became the first player to score in every knockout game of a single World Cup and, of course, won the tournament.
Morgan’s friend Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, was dropped after Portugal’s third group game, scored just one goal and saw his side exit the competition in the quarter-finals.
Now, taking to Twitter, Morgan has sent a message to Lionel Messi:
“OK, Lionel.. we get it, you won the World Cup,” Morgan tweeted.
“You’re slightly over-egging the gloating soufflé now…”

Morgan also took aim at the Argentinian support in Buenos Aires during the team’s victory parade – while also firing shots at Messi, once again.
When ESPN posted a picture of the ‘estimated 4 MILLION people walking around the streets of Buenos Aires’, Morgan couldn’t help but unload.
He replied: “So? The city’s population is 15m – have the other 11m stayed inside because like me, they think Maradona is still the Argentinian GOAT?”
