Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Graham Potter as the club’s new manager.

The west London club took the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel yesterday and their search for his replacement is already well advanced.

The 47-year-old is also looking to bring some of his trusted backroom staff with him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Potter compensation fee

Chelsea have agreed to pay in excess of £21 million to appoint Graham Potter and his staff, according to the BBC.

Given how impressive Potter has been and with the season already in full flow, the Seagulls are demanding a large compensation fee.

Billy Reid (Assistant manager), Björn Hamberg (Assistant manager) and Kyle Macaulay (Recruitment analyst) are all set to join him.

They have all been part of his staff at Östersunds FK, Swansea City and Brighton and Hove Albion.

This fee of £21 million+ would dwarf the £2.5 million that Manchester United paid Ajax for Erik ten Hag and his staff back in the summer.
