Serie A champions SSC Napoli have attempted to cool the flames surrounding star striker Victor Osimhen after TikTok videos targeting the Nigerian international star by the club’s own admin have potentially set fire to their relationship with the 2022-23 Capocannoniere winner.
The 24-year-old has become the star man both at Napoli and in Serie A after leading the club to its first Scudetto in thirty-three years but is now considering legal action against the club after a pair of disturbing and insensitive videos were posted on the club’s official TikTok account.
Osimhen will ‘reserve the right to take legal action’ (per The Mirror) videos were posted on Tuesday following his penalty miss against Bologna, which has caused the club to dispatch what can otherwise be described as a lazy attempt to rebuild a bridge that many feel may not be able to be repaired.

Full statement from SSC Napoli below:
“Calcio Napoli, wishing to avoid any exploitation of the issue, point out that we never wanted to offend or mock Victor Osimhen, who is a treasure of this club.”
“As proof of that, during the summer training retreat, the Club firmly rebuffed every offer that was received for the striker’s transfer abroad.”.
“In any case, if Victor perceived any offense towards him, this was not what the club intended.”
Napoli boss Rudi Garcia stated that the TikTok posts were “clumsy,” but has remained confident that Osimhen remains committed to the cause in Campania in the wake of the Nigerian star deleting every Napoli-related post from his personal Instagram account.
With rumors that Osimhen could still look for a pathway away from Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs rumored to be tracking the former LOSC Lille starlet in the event he does decide to part ways with the club, but as of now, there is no official line suggesting he could pack his bags in the near future.
