How to watch MLS All-Stars vs LIGA MX: Date, time, live stream and full squads

The MLS All-Star game will bring together some of the league's biggest names.

Lionel Messi

The MLS All-Star game brings together the best players in the US to take on Mexico’s LIGA MX in an annual event broadcast across the country.

But the match will be without the biggest star of them all in Lionel Messi, who is sidelined with an injury he picked up at the recent Copa America with Argentina.

Inter Miami team-mate Luis Suarez also misses out due to an issue but there are still plenty of famous faces set to take to the pitch in Columbus on Wednesday evening or in the early hours of Thursday if you are watching from the UK.

Read on as we preview the match and give you the low down on how to watch, who is playing and how to place a wager on a market of your choice.

When and where is the MLS All-Star match?

The MLS All-Star game will take place at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio at 8.00pm local time on Wednesday evening.

For viewers in the UK, the match will kick-off at 01.00am BST in the early hours of Thursday.

Who is playing?

The MLS and LIGA MX both released their final rosters for the match on Monday and although the likes of Messi and Suarez are missing, there are still some big names travelling to Columbus for the match.

As usual, the squad is selected through a combination of fan and media votes, MLS commissioner Don Garber and the selected head coach of the All-Stars, in this case Wilfried Nancy.

In total, 30 players will feature – an increase from last year to provide additional depth and star power.
