Last season, Lamb topped the NFC with 1,749 receiving yards, just 50 yards behind league leader Tyreek Hill.

The Dallas Cowboys are set to start training camp without one of their top players in CeeDee Lamb amid contract concerns.

According to ESPN’s Adam Scheffler, Lamb will be absent from the field in Oxnard, California as he continues to angle for an improved deal with the Cowboys.

The Cowboys’ leading wide receiver is entering the final year of his contract worth just under $18million.

Last season, Lamb topped the NFC with 1,749 receiving yards, just 50 yards behind league leader Tyreek Hill.

The former Oklahoma Sooner also led the NFL with 135 receptions, 16 more than Hill and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who were tied for second place.

Lamb’s holdout adds to the Cowboys’ growing concerns as the pressure to succeed remains high.

Star quarterback Dak Prescott is also in the final year of his contract and is expected to demand up to $70m per year in his new deal.

Despite this, Prescott has yet to lead the Cowboys beyond the Divisional round of the playoffs.

Lamb was part of the strong 2020 wide receiver draft class alongside Justin Jefferson and Brandon Aiyuk.

All three have expressed desires for significant pay raises this offseason but only Jefferson has received one so far.

Aiyuk reportedly requested a trade last week but is still expected to attend training camp with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Cowboys finished last season with a 12-5 record but were eliminated in the Wild Card round by the Green Bay Packers.
