Gabby Thomas stormed to victory in the women’s 200m final at the 2024 Olympics.
The American favourite produced a dominant display, with none of her opponents able to get close to her time of 21.38 in Paris.
Julian Alfred of St Lucia claimed silver, while Brittany Brown earned another medal for Team USA as she took bronze.
Brown egded out British duo Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita by less than three hundredths of a second to continue a strong night for the United States on the track.

Thomas was tipped for gold after Jamaica’s world champion Shericka Jackson withdrew before the race.
She had to settle for silver behind Jackson at the World Championships last year after winning bronze at Tokyo three years ago.
But this time she would romp to gold in glorious style, with a look of disbelief after she crossed the line.
