A three-part documentary about Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson will premiere on Netflix eight days before the boxing match, the platform has announced.

YouTuber and rookie boxer Paul and former heavyweight champion Tyson will meet at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15.

The officially-sanctioned bout of eight two-minute rounds had been scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas before Tyson withdrew at the end of May as the result of an ulcer.

The first two episodes of the documentary will be available for the first time on November 7, with the third released on November 12.

Viewers are promised an insight into the “incredible grit” required from the pair in training, as well as the physical demands placed upon them to prepare for an “explosive, can’t miss” event.

The show will also follow lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano as they prepare for their tantalising bout on the same card.

Jake Paul boxing record

Paul’s 11 professional boxing matches have included several wins over MMA fighters well past their peak, including Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, called out current UFC competitor Alex Pereira.

Tyson will be 58 when he steps in the ring and has not fought officially since 2003. The veteran is 31 years Paul’s senior and was undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, as well as briefly being a WBA and WBC titlist in 1996.

Social media star-turned-boxer Paul beat former UFC wildman Mike Perry in July, scoring a knockdown in the second round before flattening the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship competitor in a corner in the sixth round.

Netflix fight ‘one for ages’

“My fans know I don’t want to face ‘Iron Mike’ at anything but his best,” said Paul, speaking about the contest, which will be shown on Netflix, was postponed.

“But let there be no mistake: when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish.

“Paul vs Tyson will be one for the ages, and I promise to bring my best for this once-in-a-lifetime match-up.”
