New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas will reportedly miss the remainder of the NFL season after undergoing surgery on a foot injury.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Thomas successfully underwent treatment on a Lisfranc injury in his foot on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the 2024 campaign.
The 25-year-old suffered the injury during the third quarter of the 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, a result that leaves the Giants 2-4 for the campaign.

Thomas, the No. 4 overall pick of the 2020 draft who signed a five-year, $117 million contract extension last summer, finished the game but later admitted he was “not great” and revealed he had been fighting through the pain.
The loss of the left tackle, part of a starting offensive line that has played 100% of the offensive snaps in the Giants opening six games, will come as a massive blow to head coach Brian Daboll, who admitted Thomas will be sorely missed.
“I feel terrible for him,” said Daboll on Wednesday.
“You can’t replace Andrew Thomas.”
Third-year tackle Joshua Ezeudu is expected to take Thomas’ place in the line-up for the Giants’ clash with the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
