Lionel Messi has launched Inter Miami’s new home kit by showing off his skills with an American football in an advert released for the Super Bowl 2025.
The Major League Soccer (MLS) team announced the first details of the design shortly after the NFL championship game, which Messi attended alongside Miami teammates Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
“When football ends, futbol begins,” the campaign said, promoting Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass for the start of the season on February 22.

The new kit by Messi sponsors Adidas features ‘Light and Easy Pink’ with “sleek black accents”, as well as the logo of Royal Caribbean, Miami’s main partner.
Miami say the name reflects the “excitement and anticipation of what is next” for the winners of the 2024 Supporters’ Shield, who set the MLS record for most regular season points before a shock play-off exit against Atlanta United.
The kit will be used for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, with Inter moving from Chase Stadium to the 25,000-capacity Miami Freedom Park for the latter campaign.
Despite playing in little more than half of Miami’s matches because of injury, Messi led the league with 36 direct goal contributions last season on his way to winning the Most Valuable Player award.
He scored 20 goals in 19 appearances during the regular season and is said to receive a portion of the league’s deal with Apple TV as part of the deal he signed when he joined in July 2023.

New Inter Miami kit: How to buy Messi jersey
The kit is likely to be made available this week on Miami’s official online store. As a price guide, the store currently sells its away shirt with Messi’s name and number on the back for $129.99, with the youth version $99.99.
Fans in Miami are being invited to attend the public kit launch at Wynwood Marketplace from 5pm-9pm ET on Wednesday, when they will also be able to meet players Fafa Picault and Benjamin Cremaschi. The store at Chase Stadium is open from 10am-5pm from Monday to Friday.
Youth team graduate Cremaschi is a 19-year-old midfielder who set up Luis Suarez’s first pre-season goal in a 5-0 win at Honduran side Olimpia on Saturday, when Messi also scored and produced two assists.
Signed as a free agent on December 31, attacker Picault has won two US Men’s National Team caps but represented Haiti since 2023.
The Herons start their league campaign at home to New York City (5.30pm). Their opponents held them to two 1-1 draws last season and reached the play-off semi-finals, losing to New York Red Bulls.
