CeeDee Lamb: Receiver ends holdout to sign record $136m deal with Dallas Cowboys

25-year-old wide-out secures $38m signing bonus and agrees four-year deal

The home of the Dallas Cowboys

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has ended his holdout and agreed to a four-year, $136 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

The 25-year-old becomes the second highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history and will receive a $38m signing bonus, the largest ever given to a wide receiver, and $100m guaranteed.

Lamb was entering the fifth year option of his rookie contract and was due to make $17.99m before becoming a free agent in 2025.

He had skipped the voluntary off-season workouts and could be fined $40k for each day of training camp he missed during his holdout in search of a contract resolution.

Lamb is second only to Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson, who signed a $35m per season deal this off-season, while A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles is on $32m per year, Amon-Ra St- Brown of the Detroit Lions comes in at $30.003m and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins comes in $3k below him.

The Cowboys No88 was taken with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft but has performed better than any of the storied franchise’s illustrious receivers, including Hall of Famers Drew pearson, Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant in his first four seasons.

He has hauled in 395 receptions for 5,145 yards and had 18 100-yard games and in 2023 set the team record for most catches 9135) and yards (1,749) breaking Irvin’s previous best marks.

Lamb had seven games with at least 11 catches last season, the most by a receiver in a season in NFL history. His 29 catches of 20 yards or more were tied for most in the league with Hill.

Lamb also had a 92-yard touchdown catch against the Lions, the second-longest reception in team history and furthest in 57 years, and finished last season with touchdowns in nine consecutive games to reach 32 across his first four seasons.
