Cincinnati Bengals fans will wake up this morning buoyed by the news their team have secured their two star wide receivers on long-term contracts.

Fox Sports reported late last night that the Bengals had agreed record-breaking deals with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Chase will get $161million over four years with $112m guaranteed, the biggest contract ever handed out to a non-quarterback in NFL history.

Higgins has agreed a deal that will see him make $115m over four years with the first two years guaranteed, making him the highest paid WR2 in NFL history.

It is an enormous show of faith in the pair from the Bengals, who failed to make the playoffs last season after accumulating a 9-8 record.

After a hold-in during training camp last year, Chase resolved his issues with the team and went on to record the triple crown, leading all players in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708) and receiving touchdowns (17).

Higgins struggled with injuries but still managed 10 touchdowns in 12 appearances.
