Cooper Kupp focusing on LA Rams despite trade rumors

Kupp is expected to return tomorrow night when the Rams host the Minnesota Vikings

Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp says neither he nor his representatives have discussed a trade away from the Los Angeles Rams prior to the deadline and insists he “has a job to do” with his current franchise.

Kupp is injured having hurt his ankle in the Week 2 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals but that hasn’t stopped speculation linking him with a move away from SoFi Stadium.

The 31-year-old says he is aware of the rumors but is focusing fully on the Rams.

He said: “It is that time of year. There’s going to be rumors and things that go around. I let that stuff, as much as I can, be in the background.

“I’m aware of it, but at the end of the day, I mean, I’m going to be where my feet are. That’s all I know. I have a job to do here. And I take a lot of pride in giving everything I can for the guys in this building and being able to step on the field knowing that I prepared the best that I can. And for seven and a half years I’ve been an LA Ram and I’ve taken that approach every single day.

“And whatever happens outside of that, I’ve got to control what I can control. And right now that means being the best LA Ram that I can be.”

Kupp expected to face Vikings

Wide receiver Kupp is expected to return when the Rams play host to the Minnesota Vikings tomorrow night but his involvement could be limited.

“I would love to be able to play as much as I possibly could, and that’s going to be my mindset,” he added.

“And we’ve got some guys that have played some really good football the last couple of weeks too, and figuring out what the best grouping is, what the best group of guys, how you want to get those guys on, off the field, whatever it takes to get the LA Rams a ‘W’ is ultimately what we want to do.”

The Rams go into the game with a 2-4 record and could find it tough against the 5-1 Vikings.
