New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr would “love” to be reunited with Davante Adams as the wantaway Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver plots a potential move – but says his confession could land him in “trouble”.
Adams partly joined the Raiders in 2022 to become team-mates again with Carr, who he was alongside for Fresno State during their college careers.
The three-time All Pro has been out with a hamstring injury since week three, with widespread reports claiming he is set to be traded.
Davante Adams is open to playing for "several" teams, per @RapSheet

Davante Adams trade
“All 32 quarterbacks would love to play with Davante,” Carr said on Thursday, via ESPN. “We would welcome that. I would obviously welcome playing with him again if that ever worked out in our careers.
“I don’t know if I can get in trouble for saying that. I just think everyone kind of knows that… everyone would love to play with Tay.”
Carr’s release by the Raiders in 2023 meant that the pair have only shared one NFL season together, but the 33-year-old described that season as “fun… for sure”.
He added that his friendship with Adams is sufficiently strong for their families to share holidays but said they do not discuss “business stuff”.
So we're clear, #Raiders coach Antonio Pierce apologized for his "business decisions" remark, cause it caused a distraction. His reply to @VicTafur's question if there is a concern the Davante Adams situation is a distraction:

Raiders: Adams and Carr ‘good’
“He did have 1,500 yards,” Carr said of their year with the Raiders. “I think I threw him, like, 12 touchdowns.
“We didn’t win as many games as we thought, but it wasn’t all bad. I think it was like the second-best year of his career [with me].
“The narrative that it didn’t work out is correct because we didn’t win as many games. But when it comes to getting him the ball and him scoring a lot of touchdowns, I think it went pretty good.”
Saints coach Dennis Allen did not dismiss the idea of adding another receiver but backed Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed for their performances in the 26-24 defeat to Atlanta on Sunday.
“I like our receivers,” he said. “I like our team. If there’s ever an opportunity that we feel like makes sense, we’re going to try to help our team. But I like our receiver room.”
