Detroit Lions: Decker extends stay by signing three-year extension

Decker has made 112 starts for the Lions

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have agreed a three-year contract extension with left-tackle Taylor Decker.

The 29-year-old is the Lions’ longest-serving player and is now tied to the franchise until 2027. According to his agent, Jonathan Feinsod, the deal is worth $60million with $31.83m guaranteed.

Lions GM Brad Holmes confirmed the news on local radio but didn’t reveal terms.

Decker was entering the final year of his existing deal but will continue a career in Detroit that started in 2016 when he was drafted at number 16 out of Ohio State.

He has made 112 starts for the Lions and will line up alongside right-tackle Penei Sewell, who signed a four-year extension in April.
