Lamar Jackson stars as John wins HarBowl over brother Jim

The Ravens moved to 8-4 after the win in California

John and Jim Harbaugh

Lamar Jackson totaled three touchdowns to help John Harbaugh keep the upper hand over brother Jim as the Baltimore Ravens beat the Los Angeles Chargers 30-23 on Monday Night Football.

The Ravens were 3-for-3 on fourth down conversions – with each one leading to a touchdown – as the road side profited from a bold approach to move to 8-4 for the season.

It means John is now 3-0 over Jim after winning their first meeting since Super Bowl XLVII.

Ravens running back Derrick Henry rushed for 140 yards on 24 carries but saw his touchdown streak end at 11 games while Jackson threw touchdown passes for Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews and also ran in one himself.

The Chargers’ offense was stifled after JK Dobbins’ exit due to a knee injury in the first half.

Jackson said afterwards he was proud to be part of such a momentous occasion.

“It’s pretty cool I’m part of history,” said the quarterback.

“We finished off the game the correct way. We started off slow – we’ve got to fix that and I believe we’ll be where we want to be.

“We just got in sync, hit the ground running, made the plays, went with what we know.”

Asked what he said to his brother after the game, John Harbaugh replied: “I just told him you are a great coach and you have a great team and I love you.”
