Jerry Jones dismissed CeeDee Lamb’s request for curtains at AT&T Stadium as the Dallas Cowboys’ season took another surreal turn yesterday.
The Cowboys slumped to 3-6 on the season after a 34-6 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, managing just 146 total yards in their worst offensive performance since they moved into the stadium 15 years ago.
There was little to separate the teams early on and Dallas ought to have gone ahead in the second quarter but star wide receiver Lamb failed to catch a touchdown pass and later blamed the sun streaming in through the glass.
A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”

Lamb said he was “1000 per cent” in support of having curtains installed but Cowboys owner Jones gave a withering response to the suggestion.
He said: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me? Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.
“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”
Cowboys miss Prescott
Aside from curtain-gate, it was another miserable afternoon for the Cowboys with coach Mike McCarthy stating to feel the heat.
Without the injured Dak Prescott, stand-in quarterback Cooper Rush struggled to get anything going, finishing 13-of-23 passing for just 45 yards.
Trey Lance stepped in and promptly threw an interception.
Jones added: “Well, we’re gonna have to play better than we’re playing right now. I don’t know that there’s answers outside the organization, but we’re flat gonna have to play better at all positions than we played tonight.
“It’s good to have [Micah] Parsons back. I thought he gave us a lift there. And of course, he’s wonderful to have on the field. But you know, one player can’t get it done.”
