JuJu Smith-Schuster has returned to the Kansas City Chiefs following his release by the New England Patriots.
Smith-Schuster led all Chiefs wide receivers in their 2022 Super Bowl-winning season, amassing 933 yards on 78 receptions with three touchdowns – finishing second only to star tight end Travis Kelce in yards and catches.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Patriots last season but struggled with injuries and consistency, catching only 29 passes for 260 yards across 11 games leading to his release.
Chiefs wideout Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown has been dealing with a shoulder injury leaving Rashee Rice, rookie Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson as their receiving corps in pre season.
There is uncertainty about Rice’s future as he faces a civil court case in December while the NFL have yet to hand out any punishment for an incident which saw several people injured in a car crash.
Head coach Andy Reid’s decision to bring back Smith-Schuster could mean Skyy Moore, Kadarius Toney or Justyn Ross fail to make the 53-man roster later this week.
