NFL sides the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions were both fined $200,000 for a number of fights that broke out during joint practices this week.
The league is putting an emphasis on teams keeping their coming together clean this year but the two franchises could not do that in the weeks leading up to the new campaign.
Over a dozen scuffles were recorded across two days, with Giants quarterback Daniel Jones one of the players involved.
Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers said on the incident: “It was a heated practice.
“Words are being said and stuff like that is going to happen.”
The Giants and Lions will face off in an actual match on Thursday at MetLife Stadium.

Punches were being thrown and pushing was a common theme throughout the week.
Giants coach Brian Daboll added: “We’re going to try to clean up some of the things that led to some of that, but we’re going to play hard and play physical and have another good practice.”
Lions coach Dan Campbell said: “[Daboll] and I talked, just a couple things there.
“We got a couple guys who go rogue and do some things and start something. But, honestly, not a big deal. A lot of it was guys breaking stuff up.”
