The Green Bay Packers made it seven wins in eight NFL games as Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes to Jayden Reed in a 30-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins had won three games in a row but with temperatures below freezing at kick-off at Lambeau Field they struggled again, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sacked five times.

Miami have lost their past 11 regular-season or postseason games in which the kickoff temperature has been below 40 degrees (4.4 Celsius). The Dolphins’ most recent victory in a game with a kickoff temperature at 40 or lower was a 34-31 overtime triumph at Buffalo on Christmas Eve, 2016.

Love and Reed connected on touchdown completions of 3 and 12 yards, Josh Jacobs scored from 1 yard out and Brandon McManus kicked two field goals as Green Bay built a 27-3 lead.

Miami tried to rally, and threatened when Tagovailoa found Tyreek Hill to score with 3:04 remaining but they had too much to do.

“To be able to come in here, get the win, and get the turkey leg after, it was very delicious,” said Love, who went 21 of 28 for 274 yards. “Just a little something to celebrate.”

Josh Jacobs brought a turkey platter into the locker room as Green Bay commemorated a third straight victory.

“I would say, from my standpoint and our team’s standpoint, we’re not going to use any of that weather as an excuse for why we didn’t get the start that we wanted,” said Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was 37 of 46 for 364 yards with two touchdowns.

“As far as season hopes, I would say this one was a tough one for us as a team,” Tagovailoa added.

“I know what this game meant to a lot of guys in that locker room. I wouldn’t say the dream’s dead for our team just yet. Anything can happen in this league.”

The Packers move to 9-3 in the competitive NFC North behind Detroit and Minnesota, while the Dolphins have slipped to 5-7 in the AFC East.
