Carolina Panthers coach Dave Canales said Bryce Young’s career at the team is not over despite being dropped as the starting quarterback.
Young is 2-16 in his first two seasons in the NFL and 0-2 to start the 2024-25 campaign.
After securing the No.1 spot in the 2023 draft, he has not lived up to expectations yet in the league.
Veteran Andy Dalton has replaced him for now, despite turning 37 in Ocotber.
But just because Young has been dropped does not mean there is no route back, according to Canales.
Speaking in a press conference, he said: “We have a great situation with our quarterbacks right now with guys that have experience.

“We love where we are at, and it’s all hands on deck.
“We had our conversations in the QB room, talking about reads, about what we see from the defense. He [Dalton] followed it up with a great day on the field, some fantastic throws.
“He just got right back to work, which is exactly what I expected.
“My concern is the football team. My concern is we push the whole group to achieve the standard of play, the standard of practice that we’re looking for. I wish I could answer it different, but that’s truly it.”
Young is expected to speak to the media after being dropped ahead of the match against the Las Vegas Raiders.
