The new NFL season is just hours away and as always there is plenty of excitement building as teams prepare to go again with their rookies on board in search of the Lombardi trophy.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be keen to cement their dynasty by winning a third consecutive Super Bowl, while the likes of the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions are determined to make history themselves.
We will see old faces return to action, with Aaron Rodgers finally recovering from an injury sustained in the first match of last season and Travis Kelce locking in for another run with the support of Taylor Swift and her fans.
But there will be plenty of new faces to get acquainted with. The NFL draft this summer has thrown up some stars in the making and a number of them will be thrown straight into the spotlight during their rookie year.
Read on as we highlight five young guns to watch in the new season.
📰 Table Of Contents
Caleb Williams (QB, Chicago Bears)
Caleb Williams already has a reputation after being picked at No.1 in the draft.
Fortunately for him, he is joining a Chicago Bears team stacked with talent, including the recently signed running back D’Andre Swift.
The young rookie quarterback undoubtedly has skill, but whether he will be able to make the jump up from College Football to the NFL is an entirely different question.
His arm strength and mobility are two key attributes that fired him to the top of everyone’s wishlist this summer, as well as his movement in the pocket.
If the Bears can find a way to provide good protection for Williams, he will shoot straight to the top of the NFC rankings and set his team up for a respectable play-off run.
Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Arizona Cardinals)
After a fascinating career with Ohio State in his school days, Marvin Harrison Jr. is now ready to light up the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.
Over the last two seasons, he has recorded 144 catches for 28 touchdowns, as well as 2,474 yards.
His impressive stats mean he was picked fourth in the draft, the first non-quarterback.
And with Kyler Murray as his QB, the 21-year-old will likely form a prolific partnership in Arizona.
The Cardinals do not have the best defence, meaning his points as a rookie will likely count for a lot in his debut campaign.

Jayden Daniels (QB, Washington Commanders)
Jayden Daniels’s game is most comparable to Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, but the difference is that he is 6ft 4in tall.
The 23-year-old is an expert passer as well as a runner, recording 3,307 running yards and 12,749 passing yards.
Daniels was a recipient of the Heisman Award in his fifth year of College and was also recognised as the SEC Male Athlete of the Year.
With general manager Adam Peters and coach Dan Quinn teaching him the ropes in the NFL, he should have no problem integrating into the league.
And with the likes of tight end Zach Ertz and running back Austin Ekeler joining the Commanders, Daniels has plenty of weapons on his offence.

Malik Nabers (WR, New York Giants)
The New York Giants may have finally got their Odell Beckham Jr. replacement in Malik Nabers.
Draft pick No.6 is heading to the East Coast from LSU and there is increasing excitement around what the Giants could achieve this season.
Daniel Jones needs someone to help him on offence and Nabers may be the answer.
He will head straight in as their No.1 wide receiver and is a safe bet to lead the team in yards per reception.
It is not out of the question that he could also lead the league in that category, as long as he can stay injury free.

Brock Bowers (TE, Las Vegas Raiders)
Brock Bowers is heading to Las Vegas after just missing out on a top-10 spot in the draft this summer.
He enjoyed a successful three-year spell at Georgia, leading the team for catches, yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Bowers is an insanely talented athlete, with pace, power and precision when it comes to his running routes.
He will have to compete with Davante Adams in Vegas, but the 21-year-old will fancy himself to show the 32-year-old up.
However, both may struggle without a star QB throwing them the ball, an area that the Raiders need to improve upon if they are to challenge towards the play-offs.
