NFL round-up: Bengals, Texans, Vikings win but Jets and Eagles lose

There was plenty of action going on in the Redzone on Sunday.

Bengals

The NFL was full of drama in Week 4 with plenty going on across the US as teams look to build on good starts or turn momentum in their favour.

There were eight games in action at the same time and plenty of points on the board in every matchup.

The Cincinnati Bengals were seeking an elusive win against the Caroline Panthers, while the New York Jets looked to go 3-1 against the Denver Broncos.

Read on to see what happened in every early game on NFL Sunday.

Panthers 24-34 Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals finally picked up their first win of the season against the Carolina Panthers.

Joe Burrow may have thrown an interception, but he also picked out two touchdowns and 232 yards in the match.

As usual, Ja’Marr Chase was involved with a touchdown, but Chase Brown trumped him on this occasion with two moves into the Endzone.

Falcons 26-24 Saints

The Atlanta Falcons scored a last-gasp field goal to beat the New Orleans Saints and go 2-2.

Kirk Cousins threw for 238 yards and the Falcons overturned the ball twice to score touchdowns in the first half.

It was not a bad night for Derek Carr, trumping Cousins with 239 yards but neither quarterback threw for a touchdown in the match.

Texans 24-20 Jaguars

CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans came back to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The highly-rated QB threw a massive 345 yards in the game, including two touchdowns.

Trevor Lawrence also threw for two but only managed 169 yards in the game.

Jets 9-10 Broncos

The New York Jets did not take the chance to seal a comeback win against the Denver Broncos.

Greg Zuerlein missed a field goal in the fourth quarter that would have put the Jets in the lead of the match.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 225 yards in the match but struggled in the Redzone, whereas rookie Bo Nix managed to throw the only touchdown of the match.

Packers 29-31 Vikings

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers came so close to recording an incredible comeback against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Packers were significantly down in the match, with Love being picked off three times but also throwing for 389 yards and four touchdowns.

But in the end, Sam Darnold’s three touchdown passes were enough for the Vikings to mark their fourth win of the season.

Colts 27-24 Steelers

The Indianapolis Colts stopped the Pittsburgh Steelers from going 4-0 for the season.

Justin Fields did his best to drag the team over the line, throwing for 312 yards and a touchdown, but he was trumped by Joe Flacco for almost half the yards.

The Colts’ Jonathan Taylor led the game for rushing yards with 88 and added a score to his record in the process.

Bears 24-18 Rams

No.1 pick Caleb Williams scored a win over the Los Angeles Rams, moving the Chicago Bears to 2-2.

The rookie threw one touchdown and 157 yards and remained interception-free, unlike Matthew Stafford for the Rams.

D’Andre Swift was on the scoresheet again for the Bears, as was Kyren Williams for the Rams.

Buccaneers 33-16 Eagles

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued their impressive start to the season, beating the Philadelphia Eagles.

Baker Mayfield’s monster 347 yards and two touchdowns outdid Jalen Hurts, who had just 158 yards.

Saquon Barkley had a tough night for the Eagles, but Mike Evans was the shining star for the Buccaneers, picking up eight receptions for 94 yards.
