Saints @ Giants

The Saints traveled to New Jersey to face the Giants in a battle between two of the four worst teams in the NFC.

After Both squads combined for two punts, a missed field goal, and a turnover on downs, New Orleans scored first on an eight-yard touchdown run from Keandre Miller.

The G-Men would cut the lead to four points with a 43-yard field goal, but a late third-quarter TD pass to Juwan Johnson made it a 14-3 game.

The Giants did score a fourth-quarter touchdown and got a two-point conversion to make the game 14-11.

New York eventually got the ball back, but a very promising 61-yard drive ended in a blocked field goal. Had the Giants made it, that game would’ve gone to overtime.

Instead, the Saints held on for the 14-11 win.

Browns @ Steelers

Pittsburgh scored first with a field goal, but the Browns answered back with a 35-yard touchdown catch by wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to make it 7-3.

Pittsburgh would dominate the rest of the way. Najee Harris put the Steelers back on top 10-7 with a one-yard rushing touchdown. Another Pittsburgh field goal brought the score to 13-7.

Russell Wilson threw a pair of TD passes in the third to give Pittsburgh a 20-point 27-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Browns would score a fourth-quarter touchdown, but it was too little too late as the Steelers downed their divisional rivals 27-14.

Falcons @ Vikings

This game marked the return of quarterback Kirk Cousins to Minnesota after he signed a four-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons this off-season.

It was a back-and-forth affair during the first half and the beginning of the third quarter, but three consecutive fourth-quarter touchdown drives by the Vikings made this game impossible for the Falcons to overcome. The Vikings ended the game on a 21-0 scoring run.

The Vikings crushed the Falcons 42-21.

Minnesota quarterback Sam Darnold and superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson were phenomenal. Darnold finished the day with almost 350 passing yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Jefferson recorded 132 receiving yards and two TDs on seven catches. 2023 first-round pick Jordan Addison also caught three touchdowns.

Raiders @ Buccaneers

The Buccaneers started the game with 14 unanswered points thanks to a pair of touchdown passes from Baker Mayfield. However, the Raiders came back with ten unanswered points of their own, making it 14-10 at the half.

Tampa would go up by two scores with a 77-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, bringing their lead to 21-10. But, a late field goal from the Raiders made it an eight-point game.

Tampa would score one more touchdown to put this one away and take home the 28-13 win.

With that victory, the Buccaneers find themselves in first place in the NFC South.

Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury. He was unable to return to the game.

Panthers @ Eagles

Following a Panthers field goal, the Eagles used a 27-yard completion to Devonta Smith to set up a Tush Push on 3rd and Goal, putting Philly ahead early 7-3.

Bryce Young countered with a three-yard TD pass to make it a three-point game, but a Jalen Hurts touchdown pass gave the Eagles a 14-10 advantage at the break.

Carolina running back Chuba Hubbard would score from one yard out, but a missed extra point put the lead at 16-14.

Jalen Hurts would later score on a four-yard pass, making it 20-16. On the ensuing play, Saquon Barkley scampered into the end zone for a two-point conversion to bring the lead to six points.

A heroic-looking late-fourth-quarter drive by the Panthers came up short after the Eagles forced a turnover on downs on a 4th and 9 from the middle of the field.

The Eagles survived a scare from the Panthers 22-16.

During the game, running back Saquon Barkley surpassed LeSean McCoy’s single-season Eagles rushing record of 1,607 yards. Barkley finished the day with 124 yards on the ground.

Jaguars @ Titans

This was Jacksonville’s first game since putting quarterback Trevor Lawrence on the Injured Reserve. Former Patriots first-rounder Mac Jones got the start for the Jaguars.

After an opening drive field goal by the Titans, neither team would score again until midway through the third, when Tennessee hit another field goal to go up 6-0.

Jacksonville cut Tennessee’s lead in half with a 23-yard field goal from Cam Little, making it 6-3. After getting the ball back, the Jags went on an eight-play, 81-yard touchdown drive that would end up being the game-winner.

The Jaguars beat the Titans 10-6.

Jets @ Dolphins

Devon Achane scored an early touchdown to put Miami ahead. After the Jets scored a field goal, the Phins answered back with their own field goal to make it a 9-3 game.

New York’s Isaiah Davis scored the first touchdown of his career from 17 yards out to give the Jets a 10-9 lead.

The next three consecutive drives resulted in field goals, putting the Dolphins up 15-12 at halftime.

Gang Green would go up 23-15 in the third thanks to a Davante Adams touchdown and an Anders Carlson field goal, but Miami wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion to tie things up at 23.

The Jets got the ball back and went on a 63-yard drive that was capped off with a field goal to give New York a 26-23 lead with 52 seconds left in the game. But, Miami would move that ball 20 yards in 45 seconds to set up a game-tying 52-yard field goal by Jason Sanders, sending this one to overtime.

The Dolphins got the ball to start OT and never gave it back. Miami won the game in overtime on a ten-yard walk-off touchdown reception by tight end Jonnu Smith.

With that 32-26 win, the Dolphins eliminated the Jets from playoff contention.
